An unexpected vistor!

Saturday we got a call from Shayne (our good friend from Utah). He told us something that was so exciting we couldn't stand ourselves, he was in Texas! We got to go out to eat with him Saturday evening and then he came back to your place to hang out. Even though it had been a year since we had last seen him it was like no time had pasted at all. Sunday he came to church with us and then we hung out all afternoon. It was great! It was like old times. It seemed so natural to have him sitting in our living room. The only damper on the entire thing we that his wife Heather hasn't able to be here too. We have sorely missed Shayne and Heather. So, the surprise visit from Shayne was a welcomed one!
The one thing that truly made the time gap real was Kiera. Kiera was 8 months old when we left Utah and now she is almost 2! But she sure LOVED Shayne. It was her Shayne! Lathen of course loved seeing Shayne, but asked us where Heather was.
We miss you Shayne and Heather!
