Homeless...

We packed up our stuff Tuesday night and loaded the truck. We couldn't wait to move. We were suppose to close on our house on Wednesday and move in. Well Wednesday came and Wednesday went and we didn't close. Thursday, Friday...still we haven't closed! It's been one thing after the next to why our closing date has been pushed back. The bank says we will close Monday. Kevin is betting on Wednesday and I'm guessing Tuesday. The worst part is all our stuff is in a Uhaul and we are stuck until we close. Kevin went to the bank Friday to see if him being there would hurry them along. The kids and I showed up as well! After about an hour the lady told us we wouldn't close that day. We then sat out in the lobby deciding what we were going to do. The lady came out and saw us and I guess realized that we weren't kidding about having no place to go. She then got busy finding us and paying for an extended stay hotel. We are now at an extended stay and we are more than ready to get our closing over with and moved in to our house. Nothing like a small room with two hyper kids and nothing to do. I'll let you know when we move in...
I just have to take a second and thank those you have been so kind and helped us out during our homeless period. Especially those who opened their home to us and fed us and treated us like family. We have been very touch by the love that has been shown to us. The simple things that have been done for us have really helped us keep our heads during all of this. We love you!

Deep breath, Jones. Closing is kind of like labor....hard and painful, but barely a memory compared to the freedom your new house will bring.

Love ya!

Joni Dew...no way! I'm so glad to know that your friends in TX are taking care of your family! I wish so badly I was there to help...is there anything you need? What can I help with? It'll all come together soon and you'll be even more grateful and elated in your new HOME!
