Dancing

This past weekend I flew out to take pictures at Kevin's brother's wedding reception. That left Kevin and the kids home alone all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday.

Well to preface this story let me tell you that I was sick all day Memorial day with some sort of stomach bug that had me um..face to face with our toilet. The kids threw up once each on Thursday and that was the last of it, or so we thought.

So I'm at the wedding reception when Kevin calls and tells me he is sick. A few hours later towards dinner time I hear from Kevin again and he is down for the count and it didn't look like he would be getting up. He had mentioned to Kiera about maybe Sally doing something, anything. This quick comment proved to be all Kiera needed to go into a full fit for Sally. Kevin called me and told me he needed help! So I called Sally and she Joe swooped in and saved the day! Seriously they are our heroes. They came, gave Kevin a blessing and the took the kids to their place. The kids spent the night away from home without their parents for the first time EVER! And from what I hear they did great. I can not even express how grateful we are for such wonderful friends. (I hope Sally and Joe don't get embarrassed over this semi-public thanks)

Anyway I didn't start this post to tell you all that, I started it to post this video of our kids dancing. I do however hope this above story helps explain why the house looks the way it does in the video. This video was taken from our couch where Kevin spent the day while the kids terrorized the house :) (I told Kevin that he got a D- in motherhood for his inability to even make it through one night without me. hehe!)

We are just so sorry you were sick! and then Kevin huh?? man o man. No fun at all. Hope things are going better for you all! For sure we'll plan something this summer! I'm glad that Joe and Sally could help you guys out. Friendship really is important isn't it? Amazingly enough, I'm learning that as well. Keep posting.
