House update

While Kevin's parents were visiting, Kevin started telling his Dad some of the remodeling ideas he had for our house. The next thing I know tools are out and walls are being knocked down! I have to admit I was a wee bit nervous (I don't have the vision Kevin does), but it is turning out very nice!
So "we" knocked out the wall that divided the living room and the dining room. Made a beam to cover up where the wall use to touch the ceiling. Added a wall to close up what use to be the entryway to the dining room. Painted the kitchen and the dining room to match the living room. Put in a new light fixture in the kitchen so we can actually see in there. Hung the tv on the fireplace. Oh and of course patched the hole in the ceiling.
We still have a few things left to finish it out, but we are mostly done. Here is our work!

This is a shot of the wall we added. You use to be able to come int he house, make a hard right and enter the dining room. Now you can't. Now we have a nice entryway that is closed off from the rest of the house.

Yes, that is a baby chair at our dining room table, no it's not for our family. I now keep a 16 month old during the day, it's her chair.
