The flood

The kids decided the other day that they wanted to play in the mud, but due to lack of rain they couldn't find any mud. So they decided they would make their own. They found the underground water lines, turned both valves wide open and...made mud or a small lake really. The water pressure got so low that I didn't have water inside (this isn't a well, this is city water!). There was so much water that it flowed up the side of the house, under the fence onto the other side (see last picture). Although I was stressed imagining how much the water bill was going to be, the kids and Jade were having a blast. (yeah it's kind of funny now, kind of)

Your pictures made me laugh out loud! My kids did the same thing this week. Hope your water bill isn't too bad! Here's to mud!

I still remember Kevin telling Jared about it and Jared cracking up. Kevin ran out of the Priesthood session in a hurry. Jared was concerned that someone had gotten hurt or something, when Jared called and found out what happened, he couldn't believe it! I couldn't either! They are two very creative kids! Good thinkers!I can only imagine how their conversation was, or how it played out "Hey, lets play in some mud... But wait, there isn't any! Hey Look there! Those two valves! I bet if we turn them both, we'd get all the water we want, and with the dirt and water mixed, we'd get mud! YEAH, thats a GREAT idea, lets do it!" Your kids are adorable, in trouble probably, but nonetheless, adorable.
As for the water bill, well.... Hopefully it isn't too bad. :)
