More progress to our 'landscaping' around the house. I'm not sure I should call it landscaping, but I don't know a word for rearranging-your-stuff-so-you-can-pant-a-garden. Anyone?
After shoveling all those rocks up, we decided to put them down under the kids favorite tree. Since nothing else can really grow there with all the shallow tree roots in the way.
This is the best picture I could find of the tree with the vine still under it. Notice the thick vine that took me a LONG time to pull up completely!
The kids cleaning up the rocks
The tree now that the vine is gone and the rocks have been added
The area where the birdbath and rocks used to be. All tilled up and ready for planting!

Joni, I think it looks great! I am jealous that the weather is warm enough to be doing all this yard work. If only we were in Texas the land of warm and warmer life would be heavenly! Hey also wanted to let you know that at Target (at least here in Ohio & also in Michigan) they have these window reflecting self sticking with a blow dryer tint things marked down to $2-4. Hope that makes sense. I just know that with the how days coming ahead you gotta prepare. The box says that it will reflect 95% of incoming heat rays. It is by the winter clearance stuff where you can winterize your windows as well. I hope this makes sense
Wow, nice work!
Joni Dew it looks amazing! I'm so jealous you get to be out working in the yard. I don't have a yard, so even if the weather was nice I wouldn't be out working in it. I would, however, be hiking! Can't wait to see your garden grow! Love ya!
