A work in progress

For Valentine's Day this year we did exactly what I wanted to do, we worked around our house! Let me just say that I don't mind Valentine's Day. Any excuse to show extra love sounds like a good idea to me, but I don't get all concerned about doing anything traditional. For Kevin I tried to do something extra everyday for the entire week leading up to Valentine's Day. It was a lot of fun. For example one day I gave him a massage, another day I interviewed the kids asking them questions about their daddy and then I typed it up and gave it to him, stuff like that. So when Saturday came it was my turn to get what I wanted. We got up and fixed a yummy hot breakfast and then headed to Lowes! We got a few supplies and then came home and got to work. We aren't done, it's a work in progress at this point but I am excited!!! We are going to have our very own garden this year. (Instead of relying solely on my parents garden)
Here are some pictures of where we are at right now!

Our day included pulling up this vine that had overgrown all the flower beds. That doesn't sound like much, but it was a lot of work. We tilled up the front bed and mulched around our blueberry bushes that we planted last Fall. Then we cleaned up all the rocks around the bird bath and cleaned that area out. We still have to till that ground and get our rows ready. We also need a few more bags of mulch to finish around the blueberries. I can't wait to get fresh veggies, yum!

Looks amazing! Ya'll did such a great job! The house looks completely different from when I went through it with you! I can't wait to see it... whenever that may be.

Looks like someone's getting a little... Self reliant! Good job heeding the prophet's words! :) I can't wait to have land to grow a garden. Let me take that back, for PJ to grow a garden.
