On Memorial Day we loaded up and went to the zoo. My parents, along with my brother and his family all endured the heat and then the drenching downpour from a thunderstorm in an attempt to educate, entertain and make memories for our children.
You can see the education happening!
Notice the sign, "The polar bear only eats certain foods, kids are not on the menu. Keep children off the railing! Thank you, the polar bear keepers." What are they trying to say?

Ah, the rain. The children loved it until we had to walk all the way back to our cars soaking wet.

I had a blast as well! While the kids were playing in the rain, I went out and hid in the bushes and jumped out into a puddle, splashed Lathen, and scared him so bad he fell backwards onto his butt!! haha it was really funny, he thought so too!
