A little thing called Halloween

The kids and I packed up an overnight bag and headed down to my in-laws house. We went down Friday and ended up going to their trunk-or-treat, which was a lot of fun. They had a dinner and games before the kids got out to the parking lot to visit trunks and get candy.

This year Lathen wanted to be Iron Man, Kieralee went as Wonder Woman and Heath was a little brown bear. Oh and that adorable Yoda is my nephew!

This would be the kids with their very fun Uncle Steven!

Then Saturday I took on the challenge of learning to quilt. My mother-in-law is amazing and I had a blast sewing. She was very patient! I can't wait to get back down there and do some more. I must have looked like I was having a lot of fun because my sister-in-law even joined in :) (or something about she's always wanted to learn how to quilt too...)

While the ladies were busy sewing Papa was busy keeping the kids busy. I get the feeling he didn't mind too much.

Of course we had to take a break from sewing to take the kiddos trick-or-treating. We just walked the loop in my in-laws neighborhood and it was fun. Even if Kieralee got mad every time Lathen beat her to the door (which was every time that I didn't make not) and by the end she was tired and she and I skipped the last few houses just to get back to the house. Lathen, Uncle Steven, Aunt Kathryn and Yoda finished strong though getting every house they could!
