The Ugly Duckling

Many of you have seen our local greenbelt that we often take walks at and then spend time at the park. Well, our greenbelt has many critters to observe. We have birds, turtles, nutria, ants and this ugly duck. Apparently, according to this old woman that had deemed herself the ugly ducks keeper, he is around 20 years old and is the last of his kind in the area. The duck is originally from South America and was brought here, but other birds are now used for meat so the population has been left to die out?
I don't know how accurate that is, but I do know that the duck loves to be fed. You just have to watch out because he is a bit grumpy and will attempt to bite your leg if you aren't watching. The kids love to see him, but Kiera hates when he gets close. Here we are on a walk to the greenbelt and the above mentioned duck.

Wow, that thing IS ugly! :)
Looks like you've been having nice weather. I'm slightly jealous. It's snowed here 3 days this week!
