We are having some crazy Texas weather. Yesterday it was 80 degrees, pretty typical for October but today it's only in the 60's. And Monday it was only in the 60's and Sunday it was in the 60's, that is typical winter weather for us more like January. Plus the crazy up and down leaves the body totally confused, but I'm not complaining because I'm enjoying the cooler weather :)
I love my kids. I know everyone thinks their kids our the best, but I know mine are ;) I am so grateful that Lathen and Kieralee love each other so much. They are the best of friends. For example a few Sundays ago the Primary kids were all lined up at the Bishops door waiting for their piece of chocolate they get from him. Kieralee was already in line and close to getting her piece when Lathen walked up to get in line. Kieralee saw him, immediately the chocolate was forgotten she jumped out of line and ran up to Lathen, threw her arms around him and exclaimed, "Brother!" Another example, one that I am loving, is how they play outside on the tire swing. Kieralee climbs to the top and Lathen stays on the bottom, so he can swing them. He'll swing the two of them for what seems like endless hours. He never complains that he has to always do the pushing or that he never gets to ride on top (where he used to ride). It melts my heart every time I look out there and see it.
Here the kids are yesterday when it was 80 degrees out:
Here the kids are today sporting their warm clothes because it was only 62 degrees:
Over the summer we had a few things we were trying to grow. I'm afraid we didn't have much luck. We got a few things, but most of our stuff grew pretty, bloomed and then got scortched by the sun and died. What didn't get killed off by the sun meet other forms of demise. Like our beautiful green peppers. I should mention that the kids and I were in NC while Kevin let this beast devour our peppers. He said it was just too amazing and cool to watch. hmm.
