Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving Kevin's family came to Texas. Steven and Kathryn made the long drive from Utah, Robbie and Sheila made the long drive from North Carolina and of course Joseph and Julie and ourselves were already here. We cooked up a huge meal with a large array of foods that were outstanding! I even made my Granny's Moravian Buns (they are so yummy). We ended up feeding 12 adults and 4 kids and it was awesome. After the food was eaten and some had left to go back home, the rest of us sat down to a game of Phase 10. It was a blast!
Over the course of the next few days we enjoyed time with family and the kids lived up every second of attention they could get. The high light of the weekend for me was going to the temple and doing a session with Steven and Kathryn. It was so awesome to get to sit in the temple with my sister and brother, even if they are only that through marriage.
Lathen and Uncle Steven, they connect on so many levels...

The kids helping Granny get the turkey ready to cook.

After getting caught running her finger through the chocolate icing, Kieralee tried to act innocent.

And since everyone was together we ended up getting portraits taken.
