What have we been up to lately, I'll tell you.
We had to add a little fence around our strawberries to keep Jade (the dog) out.
We decided to go green. Not because we believe in global warming, but because we believe in Texas warming. Since Summer is coming on and our electric bill is going to shoot up like mercury in an old glass thermometer put in boiling water, just because we would like the house to stay at 80 degrees; we decided to invest in a clothes line.
But I think putting a clothes line up must be the equivalent of a rain dance because it did just that for the next four days. (we needed the rain, so I'm not too upset)
And to be honest, it was nice to see rain again. It felt good! When it rains for days on end, you have to get creative to keep boredom from taking over your kids brains and them destroying your house (worse than they already do). Here the kids decided to watch a movie with a few friends...
We also set up our tent in the front room. They had a "camp out" with their dad one night and have played in it the last few days. With their friends of course (the same friends from the above picture). Sadly I have not one picture of them playing in the tent (what's wrong with me?!) Maybe I'll take some tomorrow before we take the tent down.
Today the weather changed. It was sunny and warm, oh so very warm! I mean like near 80 degrees warm. So I finally got to put my clothes line to good use. My Granny would be so proud if she could see me!

Cool! We are trying to hunker down with our electric bill, but I'm ready to call and threaten our company that we're gonna switch if they don't lower our rate--how did we end up with 19 point something cents per kwh when gas is so cheap?? It's horrendous!!
