A few more things

One day my dad and I took the kids to a BBQ competition called Smoke on the Mountain. We went on the first day so the competitors were just getting started and didn't have anything for us to taste test. They did have BBQ for sale and some fun things to look check out.

The kids enjoy all the things there are to do when we are in NC. Lathen took some time to do some sidewalk art.



My mom took Kieralee out for a girls day. Kieralee got her first manicure and pedicure, unfortunately I didn't get a picture of her nails.

Then mom took Lathen out for his day. Lathen wanted to go on a hike with Gigi and Pap. They took off and walked to the top of Saddle Mountain (that mountain pictured in our hike photos). Once on top they had lunch and did some shooting (yes my father is a gunsmith and a bit of a red-neck) :)
They "rescued" a turtle from a ditch.







Working on the farm in the garden the children often ended up dirty and without clothes.

Last summer Lathen asked Pap to take him camping. Well it didn't work out that trip but Lathen had not forgotten. So this trip he cashed in on his overdue camp out with Pap!


After getting dirty on the farm there is nothing better than Gigi's big bathtub filled with bubbles. What could make that better? Adding some cousins!!!
