Little here, little there

I have a few different little things to blog about, nothing that really goes together but I didn't feel like breaking it up into a bunch of mini posts.

Costumes
Kieralee didn't get to go trick-or-treating this year because she was sick. She has had a ton of fun playing with the wings from her costume. Finally, the other day she put on the little dress that went with it! Originally she was going to wear her ballet leotard under it, but the day she was playing in it she just wore the t-shirt she already had on. And although she looks a lot like a pixie, she was in fact a butterfly :)

School Work
Kevin's school journey has been a long one. Looking at dates makes it seem a lot worse than it is. Let me explain, Kevin took a few classes before his mission so he has transcripts dating back to 1999! He has been taking classes off and on since we've been married. Trying to balance making a living, with being a dad, with church callings etc... But the end is near. After this semester, he'll take three classes in the Winter and then is final CAP Stone class/paper in the Spring and he is DONE! Right now he is in a couple of Spanish classes. One is an upper level grammar class that is very homework intensive. Sometimes he has to devote a Saturday to get the work done. This past Saturday was on of those days. Kieralee desperately wanting to be with her Daddy, finally figured out a way to stay in the room with him. She pretended to do school work too!

Fall Fun
I love the Fall and this year the weather here in Texas has actually been very Fall like. I spent some time the other day raking leaves into a giant pile for the kids (all three of them) to jump in!

Date Night
For Kevin and I date night is always a little tricky. We don't have the extra money to pay for a babysitter and go out so we usually stay home. Our trick to getting some time alone is allowing the kids to sleep in Lathen's room. We put them in there at least an hour before bedtime. They play while Kevin and I get the chance to be alone. Last Friday night we hung out and watched some shows online. When the kids finally got quiet and we knew they were asleep we went in to check on them. This is what we found:

Exercising the dog
Who says you have to take your dog for a walk in order for them to get the exercise they need?
